Ideally located in the City of London, Bakers Hall is the choice venue for your conference or meeting. Bakers’ Hall is the home of the Worshipful Company of Bakers, which has promoted and protected the Baking trade in London and the UK since 1155. A Bakers’ Hall has stood on our current site on Harp Lane since 1506. Bakers Hall has excellent transport links and is less than 5 minutes walk from Monument/Bank and Tower Hill tube stations.
As a setting, Bakers’ Hall combines the best of stylish mid-20th Century design with over eight centuries of history, embodied in the many artefacts on display and the layout of the Livery Hall and Court Room. We are a perfect venue for mid-size dining and conferences, able to accommodate up to 98 for dinner and 100 in a presentation-style format. We also host other kinds of events, as varied as product launches, parties, and wedding receptions.
Our Hall has many advantages as a venue for meetings, conference, training courses and other corporate and professional events. We can accommodate anything from small meetings for up to eight in the Print Room, to lectures and presentations for a hundred in the Livery Hall. Whatever the purpose of your company’s visit, you will find our recommended caterers are as flexible as you need them to be – whether it’s just a question of pastries and coffee, a hot or cold buffet lunch, or a fine City banqueting experience for your delegates or clients.
The Livery Hall is the larger of our two function rooms, and the setting for the Worshipful Company of Bakers’ many Livery dinners and luncheons. The Court Room is the meeting place of the Court of the Worshipful Company of Bakers. In times past, this historic body oversaw the baking trade in the City, and punished transgressors. The Charter Gallery is Bakers Hall’s reception area, named for the Company’s charter of 1568, which is proudly displayed outside the Livery Hall. The Print Room is located just off the Charter gallery. It is ideal for small meetings, and can also be hired along with our other function rooms as a breakout area for larger events, subject to availability. We can accommodate anything from small meetings for up to eight in the Print Room, to lectures and presentations for a hundred in the Livery Hall.
